Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Emission nebulae, optical image. This wide field includes the Cone nebula (small dark wedge just left of centre) and the Fox Fur nebula (bright blue red region at centre). The entire region is classified as NGC 2264. It is a huge gas cloud that glows red as the hydrogen it contains is ionised by radiation from hot young stars that formed within it. The Fox Fur nebula has blue components as well as red. These areas are reflection nebulae, which do not glow through ionisation but instead simply reflect the light from the blue/white stars near them. The NGC 2264 complex lies around 2700 light years from Earth in the constellation Monoceros.
