Description
Fresh lemon slice with great detail. Using Egg Tempera Painting technique allowed me to use several layers of color reaching an incredible translucid visual effect rich in color and texture. I so love this technique! The fresh lemon slice was cut as thin as possible and stood with a clip behind it, I took a lot of pictures playing with the light angle and closeness, I liked this the most because of all the green tones available and the bright light reflections at the top in the skin and at the right bottom between the skin and the fruit leaving the dark part (deep greens) in the top middle. A very fun piece to paint that in fact was a commissioned painting, I liked this so much that I'm working on an Orange Slice, and very possible next a Tomato slice (I love tomato) You can se the progress of my paintings at my facebook page catalina diaz - oil painting. thanks!
