COVID-19 meets and combines the River Styx, and the two paintings"George Washington crossing the Delaware",and " Trump Crossing the Swamp".
This painting "Good -Bye", is like the symbolic elephant in the room , this statement dominates and colors our world in every possible direction. The pandemic virus is illustrated in the red dots found in the water and in the air.The empty boxes are like empty promises to the sick and to the dying. Maybe a few boxes are filled pamphlets on 'How to cure the corona virus." Like the River Styx of Mythology, this river is filled with the hopes and dreams, and human miseries of the unfullfilled . The white figured ferryman pushes the boat cargo with a pole through this poison water. The children on this voyage are symbolic of the trusting nature of humans. Children believe in heroes. Children are easily persuaded, ,lied to and vulnerable to greed and corruption. But as the title of this piece states "Good- Bye" to the all of this will soon come to pass.

And children need a mother who looks out for them and does not abuse or harm them. And yes. cities and buildings have replaced life giving plants and trees.
