"HOME IS WHERE YOUR DACHSHUND IS"
I must confess I don't usually post photos of my own animals, in fact this is a first for me. Dachshunds have been a part of my life since I was a kid and they are without a doubt my favorite breed of dog. The quote is absolutely true for me and I agree 100%.....and so does Shena pictured in the photo.
Dachshunds are extremely lively and intelligent and notoriously stubborn, a fact to which I can attest. They were originally bred to hunt badgers and other animals that burrow. This perhaps explains why they love to dig so much...
They are very alert dogs and make wonderful companions and watchdogs and despite their stubborn nature, I wouldn't have them any other way. Shena was adopted by me from Dachshund Rescue South Florida (DRSF) and 100% of all my profits from this print go directly to them along with the "Rue's Rainbow" photograph. In addition I also donate 10% from EVERY sale to DRSF.

Great capture of your adorable Dachshund! Love that pose of her peeking out from behind the garden sculpture. Shena's expression seems to say, 'Are you going to play with me now?"
