Description
See also my previous photo of their Mommy incubating them.
This photo was done at a American Woodcock banding activity, they where found by the pointing dog of my friend that he is the bander. On this photo it is after they where banded. Once we leave the place, Mommy Woodcock and her chicks they meet again with each other.
And when Mommy Woodcock is with her chicks, she can simulate wounded bird to keep predators of from her chicks.
In my previous photo, these hatched eggs and the chicks where under their Mommy.

Oh, Wow, Asbed! What a wonderful capture! Was "Mom" watching you? V/F
Asbed Iskedjian replied:
Thank you Phyllis, their Mom took the flight after having done some photos of it, it fligh and go in the wood staying near the chicks, not far, once the chicks are banded and we leave the place, their Mom return at that place with meeting the chicks again.

What a wonderful capture this is, Asbed. It's beautifully composed and I love the contrast of colors and texture. A definite Favorite for me!
