This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
A Killdeer,Chatadrius vociferus, pulls a worm from the ground. Killdeers are shorebirds and found around bodies of water. They lay their eggs on the ground in shallow nests, usually with pebbles around them. If the nest is threatened, the parents flutter away, staying on the ground, from the nest with movements as if they have a broken wing to lure the predator. The Killdeer (Charadrius vociferus) is a medium-sized plover. Adults have a brown back and wings, a white belly, and a white breast with two black bands. The rump is tawny orange. The face and cap are brown with a white forehead. They have an orange-red eye ring. The chicks are patterned almost identically to the adults, and are precocial able to move around immediately after hatching. It is named onomatopoeically after its cry.[
About Betty LaRue
I have been involved in creative works for years. Watercolors, oils, jewelry creation, and writing. Some years ago, after undergoing treatment for breast cancer, I abandoned my partly written novel and bought my first serious camera, a Nikon, believing life is too short not to do something that gives me pleasure. Although writing was stimulating and fun, I longed to do something that got me out of the house and into nature. Within months, I abandoned film and went to a Nikon digital camera. Recently, I went to a new system with Fuji. I now shoot an X-T2. My love for the creative process, nature and the animals that live in nature influences my work, although I have branched out in many areas of photography besides...
