Description
Finally returning to this beautiful landscape after four years, I was able to gain access to the property of the Korean Buddha Wonkasa to shoot this lovely October Dawn landscape!
I wanted to incorporate the Temple and Buddha Statue as a reflection in the pond, but unfortunately they were obscured by trees and also were not in alignment to capture that image.
With this image, I wanted to capture the essence of a Monet painting by employing a long exposure that enhanced the misty water and reflections that took on an oil paint like effect.
Background Info & History:
Korean Buddhist Wonkaksa, located in New York’s beautiful Hudson valley, is a Korean Buddhist Temple that has been playing a crucial role as spiritual center to the east coast Korean community and all people of America for experiencing Korean culture and the practice of Seon (Zen) Buddhism since 1974 to this day.

I love the simplicity.. The misty, foggy atmosphere is wonderful. That little piece of wood is well placed.

Thank you very much! It was quite challenging to place that piece of wood in that spot~LOL!
