Description
Relief detail inspired by a medieval tapestry of the fifteenth century.
The tapestry (French, tapis) is a work of handmade traditional fabric in which there are figures similar to those of a picture using colored threads.
In this picture (of the most famous, Musée de Cluny) highlights the unicorn, mythical creature typically depicted as a white horse with antelope legs, goatee, and a horn on its forehead.
Its connotations are symbolic of purity.
