This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
A tiger lazily rest on a fallen log that acts as a natural bridge spanning a small stream. The log is old and covered in moss and fungus. Hopefully it won't break under the tigers weight and dump him into the stream. In this dense, steamy jungle, light barely manages to break through the trees, ferns cover the ground, moss blankets the rocks, and ivy creeps up the twisted trees. It's a scene of deep green where the bright orange of the tiger's fur really jumps out.
I actually started this artwork several years ago. At that time, I couldn't really get the tiger to work and instead used a paleo-critter, Archaeopteryx, and became my work "The Last Dinosaur" ( http://goo.gl/VQCixP ). It turned out to be one of my better received bits of art, and has even sold several large prints. I picked it up again a few weeks ago, determined to get the tiger to work, but I also updated the rest of the scene to be more in line with my current techniques. I find it interesting to compare...
