Seeking blessings and emotional rewards greater than the financial rewards of his mechanical engineering career, Everet made the decision to resign from his full-time job in October 2013 to pursue art as a freelance fine art photographer. A huge leap of faith in the financial sense, yet Everet has never second guessed his decision. His work has been internationally published and sells all across the world.
Everet enjoys bringing beautiful scenes and wildlife images to people who would otherwise never see them. He finds the ordinary can be just as visually pleasing as the obviously beautiful, grandeur vistas. Creating beautiful images of his home town and surrounding area, is especially personal and rewarding.
'The challenge is to find and seclude the right balance of elements in a frame to capture a stimulating composition. What is left out of a composition, is just as important as what is left in. I'm often up and out of the house by 4:00 A.M. exploring and enjoying our world during times most people are sound asleep. There is great reward in being an observer of nature.'
Everet enjoys the editing process, every bit as much as the photography itself. 'Post-processing is where an artist makes the work his own.'
'We've become a fast paced digital world, but art was never meant for viewing on a computer screen. The typical viewer looks at the work for seconds, missing all the detail and emotion of the piece. The feel and impact are appreciated only when printed and displayed. Having others enjoy my work and display my art, is an honor I am most grateful for.'
