I started a new contest and am feeling rather hopeful about how many people are already participating. This is the second contest that I have hosted and I am starting to feel more comfortable with the process. When I joined the FAA I was looking forward to putting my work out in front of an audience, but also a bit apprehensive. It's difficult to put your art out there and risk rejection. I have been watching the visitors count slowly climbing and have been voting in contests and trying to make sure I congratulate those who have sales. I am looking forward to my first sale. I lowered my prices thinking that might stir up some activity but that doesn't seem to have encouraged sales much. I have found AAA on facebook to post art and my website address so I'm looking forward to that helping me get more traffic. I am trying to use as many of the tools as they are giving us to get the success I do so desire. I look forward to the new year and a better economy to help stimulate sales all through the art world. I know it has been a depressed market, I watch the Auction Network when they do the art auctions, it's amazing to see that even Picasso isn't doing as well as he once had. I have seen some really impressive art sell for peanuts. But it's 2014 now and hopefully it will be a good year for art and for all of us. Good Luck and Happy New Year!
