Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Typical coastal tundra vegetation. Tundra vegetation is essentially treeless, and is found in areas north of the taiga (pine-type forest) regions of N.America, Europe and Asia. It is dominated by lichen and grass, as seen here, but may also contain mosses, dwarf shrubs and herbaceous perennial plants. Tundra soils are often underlain by seasonal permafrost, and have a short growing period in the polar spring and summer. Photographed on the island of Fugloya, Svalbard.
