Photographic artwork by Cindy Treger. Photographed at the Gettysburg Battlefield in Gettysburg, PA. Irish-born Bvt. Maj. Gen. Charles H. Collis earned the Medal of Honor at Fredericksburg and was wounded at Chancellorsville, He didn't fight at Gettysburg because at the time he had typhoid fever. He moved to Gettysburg after the war and his house still stands on West Confederate Avenue. His monument was dedicated in 1906.
