Description
Photographic artwork by Cindy Treger. Photographed at the Gettysburg Battlefield in Gettysburg, PA. On July 3, Judson Kilpatrick ordered Elon Farnsworth and Maj. William Wells to led four companies of cavalry in a doomed charge through timber, over rocks and under close heavy fire. Farnsworth did not survive the attack, but Wells did and earned the Medal of Honor for his actions. His monument stands in a heavily wooded area and was dedicated in 1913.

An excellent monument! I am not a big fan of sculpture, but this statue is very emotive.

Excellent presentation, Cindy. The sepia toning is just right for this presentation. - Mike (V)
