Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
There's an excerpt from a popular song by Jim Brickman that appears in many children's lullaby songs and stories that says "I see the moon and the moon sees me, so God bless the moon and God bless me". I know a beautiful little two year-old girl who always looks to the sky whether day or night to see if she can sneak a peek at the moon. Sometimes she will spot it in the clear blue afternoon sky. The smiles and excitement that ensue are infectious and is always followed by a cute attempt at singing the song. After witnessing this in action I find myself looking to the sky to try and see the moon. I happened to look up in the afternoon and find the moon peeking out of a beautiful clear-blue sky and started singing to myself. Children remind us to slow down and enjoy the small, beautiful things and moments in life. This minimal, simplistic view of the sky and the moon reminds of the simple joys in life.
I've always loved to take photos ever since my parents let me play with their camera as a little girl. I love to seek out different angles of objects, architecture, landscapes, and people to create a unique and beautiful image. Behind the camera lens you take the time to stop and appreciate the bigger picture in life as well as the small details. I enjoy sharing my viewpoint through my lens with the world and hope it encourages everyone to stop and enjoy all that surrounds them. Even the everyday things!
