Love my shirt! Unique photo and nice slender woman's cut on the shirt. Bought it to wear to see Jon Batiste in concert! Just what I wanted!

Fabulous shirt! Fits well, and the best part is the artwork. What talent and am so lucky to have come across the artist’s work and have it displayed on clothing I wear and share my joy of the artistic impression of a lovely tuxedo cat.

My Blue Bird.........Fly to me my gentle Blue Bird, through the forest, across the open sky, with the wind blowing across the meadows, from your home to mine. I pray that your wings are strong for the journey and not a drop of rain dampens your gentle wings.........poem by Natalie Holland (c) 2009
'I don't conform to any style or genre. I'm free as a bird and fly where I please. My creativity would suffer, if I only flew in one direction. Free, free, free is my motto.' ~ Natalie Holland. Being an artist is a great adventure. I love to paint and experiment in different mediums because each offers a unique quality. Self-expression is very important to me regardless of medium. One of my favorite quotes is by Wassily Kandinsky ~ 'There is no must in Art because Art is free.' All artwork is the original work of Natalie Holland. The work is for sale on Fine Art America as prints, and many other products. Copyrighted to Natalie Holland and as such, is protected by US and International Copyright Laws, and may not be copied,...

Only someone who knows love can paint love like this and write such beautiful poems.

Bruce.....Thank you for your kind comments! I'm glad that you like "My Bluebird" and the poem! This was my FIRST attempt in scraperboard art. I used a rainbow scraperboard and a sharp fingernail as my scratching tool but you can use any sharp tool for this. No paints were used.
Bruce Combs - REACH BEYOND
Oh, my goodness! "Shoots & Ladders?" How many birds? Is scraper board what kids have that you can't tell what colors are underneath the black? Hence, not control of what you are going to get? If so, then may I postulate that all the particular colors and their placements in the many, many fine Natalie Holland Masterpieces have resulted from luck and/or inspired guidance? Evidently I am all confused about this, as well as most everything else, because the perfectly -- the ultra-awesomely perfect colors and control here absolutely could not happen by chance. Definitely some painting over the scraping, no? Anyway, so what? I think this is just a magnificent work of art. I'm very happy to spend a lot of my time watching it from afar as well as happily responding to it's tempting invitation to come on in and wander a bit, sit right down, and remember to reread the nifty little poem, also a creation of Natalie's, in the Description section. Thank you, again. Peace, etc., Bruce
