This was my second t-shirt purchase with art by this artist. They both turned out lovely. Mr Urrizaga's art is wonderfully imaginative and colorful. The only thing more difficult than choosing an image was choosing the proper color shirt.

The blue plumbago plant (Plumbago auriculata), is also known as the Cape plumbago or sky flower. The blue Plumbago is an evergreen shrub native to South Africa. In its natural surroundings it can rapidly grow up to 20 ft. tall, though it grows much smaller as a cottage garden shrub. It is also a medicinal herb plant that has pharmaceutical qualities that can be used to treat lead poisoning. “Sky Flower,” is a hand-painted digital image and photo composite created in Spadecaller’s Florida studio.
Spadecaller is an experienced traditional artist, who creates original hand-painted digital images and photo composite artworks. In the late fifties at eight years old, Spadecaller started formal training in traditional oil painting.Through considerable personal sacrifice, his mother nurtured his artistic talents and provided him with the tools to launch his creative journey. Spadecaller attended The School of Visual Arts in New York City (1970-71), and during the 70's up until the late 80's, he exhibited acrylic and oils in Montreal and New York.
