This is a typical picturesque street in the middle of Savoca, Sicily. Savoca is probably best known for only one thing. For all you movie buffs out there you know it was used as a film location in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather movie. Not far from this quaint hilltop street which I captured a few years back, Michael Corleone and Appolonia get married. The wedding procession then walks down from the old church into the middle of town for the wedding reception. That location is just a few steps away from my capture. You won't see this street in the movie, but you will see it here - plus much, much more - in my THE COLORS OF ITALY AND SICILY COLLECTION.
