The title, together with the broad, carefully squared, white expanse it refers to -- the dominant center of interest -- and the teapot atop, together with the careful reflection in the seat of that all-too-familiar type plastic or vinyl kitchen chair, captures, in a simple straightforward statement, the essence of the American manufacturing/industrial establishment as it was in the twentieth century, besides being a beautiful painting of whites, lavenders and darks making an attractive design in itself. 'Reminds me perhaps of an Andy Warhol Campbell Soup-type of work.
