The 109 years old Jaffa Clock Tower which is one of 7 clock towers built in Israel during the Ottoman (Turkish) period.
The Jaffa Clock Tower was built in the beginning of the 20th century and stands in the middle of Yefet street at the northern entrance of Jaffa, the ancient city that is now a part of the greater Tel Aviv.
The clock tower was built in the center of the market square near a police station and a mosque, and gave the popular name for the square - the Clock Square.
Jaffa's clock tower is an attractive a three stories tower, built of limestone with and crowned with an elegant copper roof, that contains two clocks and a bell.
Its shape is reminiscent of a German church tower. The clock tower has been renovated several time through the years.
