Watching the family has been a thrill for me. The babies are getting all their feathers and I think will be leaving the nest soon. Just my feeling. I have been told that they have nested in this place for the last 4 years. Thank you Blair!!

Deborah, have waited all winter for the Illinois River to freeze...they winter and feed below the dam at Starved Rock State Park but we have had such a mild winter, there is not freezing so they are spread along the river for about a hundred miles...
Deborah Benoit replied:
I am in Florida David and they have been nesting and I have been watching. The winters have been odd this year for sure.
Randy Rosenberger
Great twosome of these grand birds of prey, Deborah! I love eagles, and this is a fine capture of not just one, but TWO of them together. Wow! Nice job!
Deborah Benoit replied:
This is the first I have seen them together like this since the babies hatched. Now that the babies are getting bigger they must feel they can take time for themselves. Thanks Randy it was a thrill for me to see them perched together.
David Bearden
