From there visitors have a magnificent view of the city of London and the Thames River as it winds its way toward the North Sea. Many thanks for your generous response, Lois. I always like to go to the top of things. I had gone to the Shard in June of 2012 and was disappointed to find that it would be several weeks before construction was complete. Then when I was in London this past summer, I made the trip to the top of the tallest building in London. It was well worth the wait.
