Love it.
The Little Susitna River is a favorite among Alaskan artists and photographers. As it meanders from from its origin, Hatcher Pass, it never fails to attract onlookers. It can be rather treacherous to paint en plein air (on location in open air) do to the slippery nature of the wet rocks. Sopping wet, and tired, I was ecstatic when a burst of sunlight temporarily parted the clouds and shown on the Talkeetna Mountains. I added a few bold brushstrokes to indicate the swiftness of the light and the painting was completed. The original sold while the painting was still wet, which I why I couldn't get a higher resolution photo of the painting, thus making larger sized prints impossible to offer. Still the message will be clear and enjoyable to any onlookers, that inspite of turbulence, holding out hope will not be fruitless.
