I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Great canvas and framing. A decent shipping time, and EXCEPTIONAL safe packaging. Just an appropriate image for my viewing/listening room. Just took the speaker grills off for this photo.
Artist's Description
"Have A Heart For Wild Horses" Jeanne Bencich Nations It was almost
dusk as the bright golden sun began to set behind the Cherry Creek Mountain Range. I had very little daylight left to get the shot as the sun was slowing sinking behind the mountain. Off in the distance I could hear the unmistakable sound of thundering hooves as the wild horses came down to the spring to drink. This was truly a breathtaking scene, even in the sunset you could see a vision of a heart . Seeing wild hearts living free on the range was one of those perfect moments to capture on film. It was a vision to behold of nature at its very finest, may it be that these wild horses will always be free. — at ,.
About Jeanne Bencich-Nations
I have a great passion for wild horses, they give back to us in so many ways. I love photographing the wild horses in Northeastern,Nevada in the Great Basin Country in their natural environment. As a strong advocate for the freedom of our wild horses on public lands to me it is very important for people to become aware of the many issues facing our wild horses today . There are now more than 60,000 in BLM holding facilities across the West and less than 22,000 left on public lands. It would be an American tragedy to lose our Western Heritage, the wild horses. We need everyone to be their voice. They are losing their freedom everyday on public lands at a very alarming rate. We must protect them . A wonderful organization that...

I too have been lucky enough to shot in the Great Basin when I lived in Las Vegas.... I've seen the small herds from a distance but unable to be fortunate to get with lens range to them. Fantastics works on one of the only things in life that are free.... Unfortunatley I have also personally seen the results of what some call the "saving" of these majestic animals. I went to a auction here in Lake Charles after moving here from Las Vegas.... What I found were the shells of animals that once roamed free. It tore my heart out to look at them standing in lifeless in pens of 10 waiting... just waiting for what man had in plan for them next... Got to be honest didn't feel much like claiming to being on of our species at the time..... May as many as possible stay free......My example of what I felt that day is exhibited within my portfolio group.
