This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Riviera Remembered is to give the feeling of a simpler time when things were slower, there were fewer homes and more nature, and older homes. Sometimes the homes had crumbling walls or were a little crooked. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed painting it.
About Alanna Hug-McAnnally
Thank you so much for visiting my site. It's been an unusual journey on my way to painting. Due to an illness when I was 40 - over 2 decades ago - I had to quit working. One day I went to a large mall and was happily surprised by an art show/competition. While looking at all the paintings (about 1,000 in all), I was drawn to one particular artist. It turned out she was the teacher to 1/2 of the artists there. Having told her I was degreed in opera and concert, she immediately told me: "If you are in one of the arts, you are in all of them." That turned out to be true, and it turned out I could paint. Since then, I have been in jurried competitions, came in second in my first and first in my second. One is now in a museum, a gift...

Hello Alanna, I thought this was new for a moment ! It must have been staring me in the face all along! When I clicked on it,I immediately fell in love with the intense blues and flowers and those beautifully shaped cyprus trees glinting in the light. The houses and boats have a charming almost whimsical quality which makes me happy!This is a totally delightful painting of summer memories from a beautiful place. L/F

Anne-Elizabeth, I've been awake most of the night, and the other "Marhaba" painting has nothing to do with this. lol Mea culpa. Ayway, Riviera Remembered is still one of my favorites also due to the colors. Isn't it nice as artists we can paint whatever we like in any color we choose, whether it's "natural" or not?
