This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
This is a scene from southwest Michigan, a view from a small bridge. II saw it on my way to my sister\'s house on Thanksgiving Day. I was exhilerated because we had such a beautiful day for the holiday, and that there was such colorful foliage so late in the season. I t was so beautiful that we all played hoops in the driveway at her house, girls against the guys. We are many of us NOT athletic, so this was the first and the last time we did this. I can\'t help but believe that the quality of the day motivated us. The girls won.
About Lucinda Hansen
I dabbled in art most of my life, but began to paint seriously in January of 1999. I am self taught, and work primarily in pastel. These last few years I have also begun to use mixed watermedia, painting in a pseudo-Seurat, pointillism style. I have had several shows, both at the local Art Center, and within gallery cooperatives with whom I was associated. I did local outdoor shows for three years. In 1996, I started a local life drawing group, the 'Nightlifers'. We meet weekly to practice drawing the human figure, primarily nudes. Many of our atelier members have been motivated by this experience - to begin painting, to change careers, to get art degrees - partly inspired by their regular association with fellow artists.
