"Van Gogh Skies" is inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. I have learned much about Vincent these past two weeks. I have found his work visually beautiful and masterfully done.

Interesting to note Van Gogh painted approximately 900 paintings and 1200 sketches. This is an amazing amount of work! He was very prolific as an artist.

One thing I found for myself personally, while Van Gogh was a deeply broken and depressed man, his work for the most part, does not represent his mental darkness. So much of his paintings are colorful, joyful, and exciting! I can only wonder if it was only in his painting he felt these emotions. Perhaps it was why he accomplished 900 paintings and 1200 sketches. In order to feel happy he had to be painting. I think in that, his art gave him hope that one day he would be all of those things.

This is of course my insight, but how many artists can paint what others can't see? He painted Energy in nature with slashes of light with vib...

Sydne Archambault was born and raised in the Great state of Wyoming. She grew up in a home where art held a presence. Her mother Willie Jordan Misner studied under Birger Sandzen at Bethany College in Lindsberg Kansas. Art was her mother's passion and her passion passed to Sydne as a young girl.
