My name is Heidi Rissmiller, I am an Illustrator, and recent graduate with Honors of Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia. I'm a single mother of a wonderful handsome son. I'm excited to start this next chapter of my life. I've always loved drawing, my mother said ever since I was in 3rd grade I started drawing non-stop! I had a book report, and their was a drawing of Cinderella from one of those hardback Disney books that I wanted to draw. I was struggling with it, I ask my mother for help, as any child would, and she drew, what I thought was an Amazing colored pencil drawing! At that point on )she always loves to tell this story! P.s. so do I !) I always was drawing! in one of those little notebooks that are like 5 x 3 note books she would used to calculate the shopping list, I went through them like crazy! So this was me growing up drawing what I loved, animals usually! Any chance I had when f=going to the library I would check out the animals books with great pictures and be inspired to take them home and draw them, I also remember lying on the living room floor with the printer paper with the little grab holes on the side drawing stories, papers and pencils strewn all over the floor making a mess but deep into my little world of my picture stories. As I grew up the worries that I was not good enough was creeping in and taking over, with looking for love in all the wrong places, and making wrong choices over and over again, I was the prodigal daughter who never left home physically, but spiritually I did. When I was about 11 years old I remember accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior, but as I look back, I was not grounded in His word. I ended up hitting bottom with Jesus waiting their for me all along with His Amazing Grace, that I am still amazed by to this day. My wonderful gracious parents allowed my son and I to stay with them while I worked part time at walmart and by Gods grace was able to Go to the Collage that I was accepted to go to in high school, but could not go to because I could not afford to go. 'In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace ephesian 1:7' This has been an amazing journey with my Lord, with the joys and sorrows He's always there, 1John 3:1 says 'Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!' My prayer is that you would know Him as I know Him, His comfort, His compassion, His unbearable love towards you! I pushed Him away in pursuit of what this world has to offer, I chased after it and it took every thing from me, The bible says in Matthew 16:26 'For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? You are more valuable than the entire cosmos to God! It also says in the book of Luke 9:24 'For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, do you think you will be saved by following the 10 commandments? The bible says John 3:16-18 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life 'For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 'He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Be saved, be comforted, be loved by Him.
