Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

The Ohio and Erie Canal was created, all dug by hand by workers with picks and shovels, in 1834 as a means of transporting goods from Cleveland, on Lake Erie, south to the Ohio river.
It was a "Modern Marvel" at the time, but its usefulness was short-lived, for in about 10 years, the railroads took over the function of transporting those goods, and the canal became nothing more than a an enjoyable place to Have a Sunday afternoon picnic, or row a boat around, or paddle a canoe, though, many of the people who had owned the canal boats chose to keep them and live on them for many years afterwards.
When the canal was built, the locks had to be operated by hand, and because there was no sure way of knowing when a boat would arrive, and because of the maintenance needed to keep the locks working properly, the lock keepers lived at each lock.
