This piece is very true to it's picture very defined. The cup itself is of fine quality as well. The story behind it was beautiful to read. When I look at it, it will take me back to the first time that I saw and read the story. Glad I took the time to purchase. No regrets!
Color-enhanced Scanning Electron Micrograph (SEM) of bamboo textile fibers. Bamboo fibers are produced by several companies, one of which is Litrax in Switzerland. The woody part of the bamboo is crushed mechanically before a natural enzyme retting and washing process is used to break down the walls and extract the bamboo fiber which is then spun into yarn. Some bamboo fiber is made by a bacterial process similar to retting flax into linen fiber. Image width 197 micrometers. Magnification 508x if the image is printed 10 cm wide.
