I thought it would be fun to re-design a surfing movie poster. This was a fun little project in which I added the stars of the film at the bottom, and added a tag line to support the title. The movie was the second Gidget film set in the Hawaiian islands. Because it was filmed in Hawaii, I was looking forward to seeing a lot of surfing action. Big waves, long rides, great action, you know the drill. Well, the movie was kind of dull, too much talking, and not a lot of action. Even so, I think me and my buddies watched it twice in one day at the Cornell Theater in Burbank, California. Anyway, it was a fun exercise to try to make a nice vintage poster.

First off, hope everyone who visits this website is doing well. Just got back from doing a presentation, an art festival, and a car show, with very positive results! Usually, when I do a presentation, I'm hiding behind a computer, showing people some of my tricks using Photoshop. This time, I actually had to look straight at an audience, and talk about myself. Not something that I'm very comfortable doing, but it was a great experience for me. The art show was a success as well. I met so many wonderful people, and sold a good number of pieces as well!
