Description
Seabird conservation fieldwork. Researcher placing a fixed-point camera on a beach to monitor eggs laid by a Eurasian oystercatcher (Haematopus ostralegus). This is being done as part of a coastal protection scheme for little terns. Both seabirds live and breed in various regions of Europe and Asia. Electric fence enclosures are being used in this area as part of animal conservation work to protect seabirds from predators such as foxes. Photographed in June 2016, in Denbighshire, Wales.
