Description
Trunks of White Poplar. A forest scene showing the distinctive pale trunks of the White Poplar (Populus alba). The species has a very wide range, including much of North America and Europe. It may grow to about 30 metres height. It is often used in parks and roadsides due to its decorative appearance. Its wood has little commercial value other than for packing cases, matches and paper pulp.
