A totally adequate purchase - nothing outstanding, nothing problematic. Since the original was one of your stock images, I cannot speak to whether this was a clear image, besides which the original was a watercolor, so clarity is not essential to the success of the image. I predict that a larger image would lack clarity. But I'm generally satisfied.

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

Plate 2 (and 3) Propithecus satyrus. 'The Red or Asiatic Orangutang (sic). The orangutan was the first great ape to be well known in Europe and Britain. One called Jenny was of great interest to Darwin when it arrived in London zoo in 1837 (he visited in 1838 after his Beagle voyage). He was greatly impressed by its emotional complexity and intelligence. Steel plate engraving with contemporary hand colouring from "The Naturalist's Library" Mammalia, Vol. I "The Natural History of Monkeys". Sir William Jardine. Published in Edinburgh by Lizars, 1833. This was the first mammal volume in a series of 40 volumes on mammals, birds, insects and fish produced over ten years."
