Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
TheAga Khan Palacewas built bySultan Muhammed Shah Aga Khan IIIinPune, India. Built in 1892, it is one of the biggest landmarks in Indian history. The palace was an act of charity by the Sultan who wanted to help the poor in the neighbouring areas of Pune, who were drastically hit by famine.[1]
Aga Khan Palace is a majestic building and is considered to be one of the greatest marvels of India.[2]The palace is closely linked to theIndian freedom movementas it served as a prison forMahatma Gandhi, his wifeKasturba Gandhi, his secretaryMahadev DesaiandSarojini Naidu. It is also the place where Kasturba Gandhi and Mahadev Desai died.[2]In 2003,Archeological Survey of India(ASI) declared the place as a monument of national importance.[3]
