Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Architecture of Stephansplatz, Vienna, Austria. This central hub in the heart of the Viennese metropolis has a large variety of architectural styles and important buildings dating from different eras throughout history. On the left of the image is the massive South tower and glazed tiled mosaic roof of the spectacular St.Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom) and on the right, the richly decorated and ornate historic building which is home to the famous Aida cafe and restaurant and a few other businesses and stores. I blended textures with my original photograph to compliment this historic Vienna scene.
I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
