I loved the card. Message inside was perfect (just like I requested) Only comment - the picture seemed too large for the card (glue showing on the side) Next time I will down size the picture. I have ordered many cards from fineartamerica and have been very pleased with the artist selection and quality of the art. Paul Cutright

Plato created the legend of Atlantis. So why is it still popular more than 2,000 years later? The idea that Atlantis was an actual historical place, and not just a legend invented by Plato, didn’t surface until the late 19th century. In his 1882 book, Atlantis, the Antediluvian World, the writer Ignatius Donnelly argued the accomplishments of the ancient world (such as metallurgy, language and agriculture) must have been handed down by an earlier advanced civilization, as the ancients weren’t sophisticated enough to develop these advances on their own.

🌼 Indeed SHADOWLEA - Going Back in Time - to encounter the REAL persons of, say, Alexander, Jesus, Spartacus, Cleopatra, would be fascinating - and free of all the 'enhancements' or 'bedevilling' truth-twisting lies by religious or political selfish aims and biases ! -
Shadowlea Is replied:
I couldn't have said it better....glad you feel the same way Hartmut..........My fav. subject but I better stop before I start with no stopping...lolooo

🌸 Shadowlea: "...as the ancients weren’t sophisticated enough to develop these advances on their own." --- I fully agree, and in my opinion the then far advanced Minoan Empire was the real Atlantis - until it was destroyed by the massive 1646 BC Vulcanic Eruption at Santorini / Thera ! --- Congratulation on being 'Showcased' - for your fabulous and highly imaginative and most beautiful Digital-Art Painting !
Shadowlea Is replied:
Thank you Hartmut, I always found the Atlantis stories stories so fascinating, would love to go back in time and see for myself
