My father owns the same truck its the same color and everything and it originally sat in grandfather's garage with a gravel driveway until we pulled it out and rescued it and this photo reminds me of that day cause the garage even looks the same too. I will eventually hang it on my wall im remodeling my living room and ima hang it on my wall when it's done to pay respect to my father who bought me my first home and someday he's leaving this truck to me to carry on its legacy.
This is the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway No. 2912 that is on display at the Pueblo Railway Museum.
"The 2912 is a type 4-8-4 "Northern" was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1944, for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway. This locomotive and the rest is its class were used on troop trains and other important work during the final months of World War II. The ATSF No. 2912 was one of the last 4-8-4s shopped at the company's Albuquerque Shops before they were closed in March 1954. he locomotive hauled the last AT&SF steam freight into Clovis from Slaton on the morning of 4th August 1954 and, with its engines in good working order, remained available for peak movements as late as 1958. The #2912, was finally written from the AT&SF's accounts in April 1959."
