I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.
Bay Roan Horse
A horse with a bay roan coat, star face marking, and dark stockings stands before you after a storm. It emerges from a bright mist rising from the moisture on the ground left behind by the rain. Behind the animal, there is a sense of darkness as the storm where the storm recedes into the distance. A gentle breeze still blows gently through the horse's mane an tail at is gazes intently back at you, the viewer.
For this artwork, I really wanted to have the look of an almost monochromatic painting traversing various shades of cream and brown using dark and light values to create a sense of drama rather than relying on an active pose for the horse.

Daniel Eskridge
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
