Description
This is a time exposure of the star Sirius passing through a windmill. Sirius is a two star system 8.6 light years from Earth. It consists of the white star Sirius A known as a main sequence star and Sirius B its small white dwarf companion. Sirius is the brightest star in our nights sky. In ancient Egypt Sirius was the most important star in the sky. The Egyptian calendar system was based on the heliacal rising of Sirius that occurred just before the annual flooding of the Nile during summer. A great number of secret societies and highly influential people teach and believe there is a mystic connection between Sirius and humanity.
