Gatineau Park, the National Capital Region's conservation park, has many unique and diversified ecosystems and heritage features. It covers 36,131 hectares (361 square kilometres) of land and is located where the Canadian Shield meets the St. Lawrence Lowlands and the Ottawa River meets the Gatineau River.

I have been interested in photography since my high school days (in the chemical photography era) where I enjoyed standing under a safe-light in the school dark room watching the latent image slowly appear in the developer tray. I managed to acquire an enlarger and tied up the bathroom at home in an improvised dark room. I think fondly of those magical days while I am now sitting in my electronic darkroom trying to bring out the best in my images. Everything today is, of course, digital; but the basic skills and thrills of photography has not changed...
