I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Great canvas and framing. A decent shipping time, and EXCEPTIONAL safe packaging. Just an appropriate image for my viewing/listening room. Just took the speaker grills off for this photo.

This is an image of a pied-bill grebe and its young. Did not see which one finally ate the fish as they went into some reeds.
Kyle Dig
is?
Kyle Dig
Oh interesting! You would say this is a mating pair? I wonder if it could be a parent and sibling too, I have never seen them feed before. Still, it seems like a big (for the bird!) carp for the grebe to handle! Wouldn't the fish stand any slim chance of escaping or even damaging (hopefully not!) the grebe's elastic neck/stomach if eaten in that condition?!
Kyle Dig
Amazing capture! That looks like a big fish (do you know what kind?) staring down its captor's throat here! So does the bird really manage to win the battle and gulp that whole thing okay? Does the fish put up a good fight, if eaten does the unlucky prey get swallowed wriggling all the way down as well?!
Dennis Hammer replied:
Probably a small carp. Once the fish is in the bill it is usually over for the fish.
