This piece is very true to it's picture very defined. The cup itself is of fine quality as well. The story behind it was beautiful to read. When I look at it, it will take me back to the first time that I saw and read the story. Glad I took the time to purchase. No regrets!
This agave was growing at Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior, Arizona. I visited there several times watching it grow from its large bud to final bloom. The stalk grows very quickly, but it takes a long time for the flowers to form and open.
I've set this up to be a long, narrow piece of art that would fit on a narrow wall, maybe betweem two windows or any such narrow place. The full size piece (set up to be 12 x 49) is designed to have images that are 10x15 with 1 inch in between and all the way around. Printing smaller pieces will, of course, result in smaller images. This is not suitable for cards or pillow because of the size.
A photographer since the age of 8 when I received my first camera as a gift from my grandmother, I learned the art of photography by studying such current great artists as George Lepp, Dewitt Jones and Art Wolfe. My inspiration is God's beautiful creation, and I attempt to record it faithfully, shooting landscapes, flowers, animals, and anything that captures my fancy. I shot film until 2012 when I purchased my first pro digital camera. Now I do both, and do all of the creation in the camera before the snap. If the image isn't good enough to print as taken, it is discarded instead of being "improved" through Photoshop. I have my own darkroom and love making my own prints from negatives. One of my favorite techniques is to hand paint...
