The peaceful start to a new day as an early morning bike rider, silhouetted by the sun breaking above the horizon, casually glides along the shoreline. It's not often that a bike rider gets the chance to glide along a sandy beach, but here in Jacksonville Beach, the sand is hardened at the shore line and slightly damp, giving it a firm surface.
David Choate is a retired Television News Journalist and United Way executive who lives in Hollywood, Florida.
