Karen Cattel is a special artist and her whimsical art looks great on the two sturdy totes I purchased. One is a gift for a friend and the other is for me. I love them.

I so appreciate being able to have this old-fashioned outdoor dinner scene on a tote bag. It is adorable. Thank you for making it available.

I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.
On October 29, 2011, a blizzard hit our area and we had eight inches of snow! SURPRISE! While enjoying the juxtaposition of autumn foliage colors and snow-white snow, we worried about the trees being damaged by the weight of the snow. Fortunately there was very little damage.
I walked out into the teeth of the storm for a few pictures making sure I didn't walk under any dead branches:>)
I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever harmed in the picture-taking process, but some things that wander into our home (like spiders) are carefully removed from the house after they serve as "models"....

What a fabulous and rare capture of snow on trees with autumn foliage. You were very brave to walk out in the storm to get this beautiful image. I'm so glad you had very little damage. We had quite a bit and were without power for 4 days! That was our incentive to buy a generator! And it's always so sad to lose trees. l/f
Carol Senske replied:
Oh, my! That was an excruciating experience for you, I'm sure. Megastorm Sandy hd us out for power for about two weeks and THAT drove us to a whole-house generator. It's been a lovely sense of safety and comfort since then, so I'm glad you sprung for one! I grew up on the Cape and some of the storms there were bad - trees were lost and like you guys we love our trees. Hre in Pennsylvania we live among trees, hope none come down on the house or car and pickup (have lost two vehicles to trees but we love them anyway). It sounds like you are much like us:>) Thanks for the nice comment!

Brrrrrrrr! Love the picture, though!

It will be down below freezing tonight, so "brrrr" is exactly right. I'm so happy there is no snow, however! Hugs

Wow Carol such a fabulous capture of the autumn colors under the surprise snow!! You were brave and it was worth it!!
Carol Senske replied:
We were sitting here looking out at how many leaves are still on the trees. We thought this was probably the longest we've had them hang on; then I came across this image from 2011. Hope you are all staying well!
