I bought this as a gift for my daughter and she loved it. The tuxedo cat painting was beautifully done. The blue and purple background was perfect to showcase the artist rendering of the cat.
As one of the most well known bridges in the world, the Bridge of Sighs in Venice, Italy is very deserving of the vast amount of attention it receives. Surrounded by a variety of tales and folklore, it is easy to comprehend it's allure. Built in the early 17th Century and designed by Italian architect Antonio Contino, this tiny but ever so impressive bridge has stood the test of time and brings millions of visitors a year to it's little piece of Venezia. Originally serving as a walkway connecting the Doge's Palace and the prison, legend suggests that the bridge's name came about because prisoners heading to their execution would look out of the small windows and sigh over what they believed would be their last view of their beloved Venice. If this is true or not....who knows? I prefer to believe that it got it's name because you can't help but sigh when you first set eyes on it, just as I did. I hand blended textures with my original photograph to achieve a more painterly style which...
I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
