"Bruges, No. 1", is an original watercolor, 20" X 15" on 300-pound Kilimanjaro cold press paper using American Journey and Davinci paints. The painting explores one of the public squares in the picturesque city of Bruges, Belgium, "the lace capital of the world".
Virgil Carter, BWS, PWS, PWCS, TWS, is a watercolor painter, teacher, demonstrator, workshop leader, author and Internet commentator. He paints primarily in watercolor, both en plein aire and from his studio in Boerne, TX. Primarily a representational painter, Virgil paints a variety of subjects, but enjoys most painting landscapes and town/urban subjects.
