Karen Cattel is a special artist and her whimsical art looks great on the two sturdy totes I purchased. One is a gift for a friend and the other is for me. I love them.

I so appreciate being able to have this old-fashioned outdoor dinner scene on a tote bag. It is adorable. Thank you for making it available.

I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

Tule elk are endemic to California and before local extirpation due to hunting, they ranged from the grasslands and marshlands of the Central Valley to the California coast. By 1870, they were thought to be extinct but a small remnant population was discovered feeding in tule marshes on a cattle ranch in California's Central Valley. Owing to subsequent conservation efforts, there are now a few thousand Tule elk in California.

I'm a native coastal Californian transplanted to the foothills of the Cascades. Being near the mountains has afforded me the opportunity to become attuned to seasonal rhythms and infuse that sense of time and place into my nature photography. I love to take off on roads less traveled, especially when it means losing myself in some remote place until I feel like being found. My portfolio includes natural landscapes, wildlife portraits, botanical macros, vintage architecture, cool geological formations, ranch life and a sprinkling of eccentric oddities that captured my imagination. I invite you to take a moment to peruse my galleries and follow me on Twitter: @EclecticImages. I hope you'll find something that makes you smile! .

Great, Kathleen! Congrats!
Kathleen Bishop replied:
Thank you, Richard! It was a magical afternoon and a thrill to see these handsome elk.

Cool Elk, love this image. I accidently ran into an elk bull eating this past summer, so I have an appreciation for how these animals blend with the environment they're in. Beautiful work. Shared.
Kathleen Bishop replied:
Thank you, Lisa!!! That was a tough shot because I basically had to creep over the crest of a hill on my belly so they wouldn't see me. Wouldn't have gone anywhere near if they were in rut.
