Karen Cattel is a special artist and her whimsical art looks great on the two sturdy totes I purchased. One is a gift for a friend and the other is for me. I love them.

I so appreciate being able to have this old-fashioned outdoor dinner scene on a tote bag. It is adorable. Thank you for making it available.

I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

Quite beautiful!
This beautiful old mill is the Cable Mill in Cades Cove, Tennessee. It was built by John Cable in the early 1870’s on Mill Creek – but Cable had the foresight to dig a channel to Forge Creek so when water levels were low he could tap both streams. The wheel is an overshoot wheel, appropriate for fast-flowing mountain streams.

I love this smart composition Nikolyn; something about the use of converging triangles and the tension created with the criss-crossing lines of the supporting wooden logs leading to the wheel. Quite an intriguing composition.
Nikolyn McDonald replied:
Now that you mention it and I look, the triangles are definitely there, Hany :) Thanks for the terrific comment.
