I was disappointed that the image on this pouch was not very clear. The zipper doesn't work real well, either.

ORIGINAL PASTEL PAINTING ON SANDPAPER / 7,8" x 11,8" / 20 x 30 cm / 2013
This is a pastel painting representing a picturesque square from Lyon, France, Place de la Trinite, situated in the old Lyon and the famous Cafe du Soleil.
On the square, on the corner with the rise of Gourguillon is the house of the sun, which dates from 1723 and owes its name to the presence of a golden sun on blue background between the first and second floor, it houses the ground floor coffee or cap of the same name.
Mona Edulesco is a Romanian painter and architect who resides in France and specializes in textured impasto palette knife oil paintings. Her preference for abstract cityscapes reflects her background in architecture and urban planning. Edulesco merges her experience in architectural concept drawings with the freedom and energy of palette knife painting into phantasmagorical textural impressionistic works. Thanks for the gracious comment, Mona, while watching a TV feature on Paul Bocuse & his disciples last night I told my wife how I had first become aware of Lyon's hilly topography from viewing this happily populated pastel scene of yours. Does the great local cuisine have anything to do with the habitual cheerfulness of your work?
Mona Edulesco replied:
Thank you Joseph! :) I am glad that you think I expressed so well the topography of the Vieux Lyon in my little pastel work... and regarding your question...I will be able to respond you after I taste Paul Bocuse specialties...if you believe me I didn't do it yet!!! :)))
